"Doncamatic" is an upcoming single from British alternative band Gorillaz. The single will be released on November 21, 2010. Upon its original airplay on radio stations, the track was entitled "Doncamatic (All Played Out)". However, upon the release of the official artwork, it was revealed that the title had been changed to simply "Doncamatic" on the band's official website.
The Damon Albarn-helmed cartoon crew Gorillaz are now the latest band to record their own live-in-studio iTunes Session EP. The EP is available now, and it includes tracks from all of the group's albums. There's also a 37-minute interview with fictional Gorillaz members Murdoc Niccals, and 2D. We've got the tracklist below.
In other Gorillaz news, Lou Reed, who guests on the Plastic Beach track "Some Kind of Nature", will perform with Gorillaz at their show October 27 at L.A.'s Gibson Amphitheater. (He also joined the band at their recent Madison Square Garden show.) Former Cibo Matto member Miho Hatori will also perform at the L.A. show, as will regular touring collaborators like De La Soul, Bobby Womack, Little Dragon, and the Clash's Mick Jones and Paul Simonon.
